GOT7 recently released information about their upcoming comeback for their Japanese mini album 'The New Era'. Unfortunately due to a decision made by the members and JYP Entertainment, lead rapper and face of the group Jackson Wang will not be joining the rest of the group during their Japanese activities due to health issues and promotions in China.
The single along with the full mini album will be released next month June 20th. However, with many Japanese releases, the group has already released their music video prior to the official release of the album.
Despite Jackson not being able to be part of this comeback, fans around the world are enjoying the group's new M/V for their Japanese mini album's title track 'THE New Era'. As of May 9th, 2018 the music video has approx. 2.4 million views.
At the beginning of the video we see small glimpses of the six members in order wearing color coordinated outfits while giving off a teenage bad boy-next-door vibe.

Right (Top to Bottom): Choi Youngjae, Bambam, Kim Yugyeom
Just like their previous Japanese releases, they have released another great hit fans can dance and sing along to; but of course this is a new era (no pun intended). This new comeback era of theirs is very different than their previous ones with the bad boy concept it gives off; which many fans love about it because it is not usual for us to see this side of the members due to their sweet and silly nature.
It seems the boys are demanding and wanting their fans' attentions from the lyrics. Because of their well prepared and composed music videos, the boys never have a problem getting their Ahgases' attention. They sure do always have my attention, that's for sure.
I have watched the M/V multiple times now and I still haven't gotten tired of it due to the fact not only is the song amazing to listen to but the choreography and the way they executed the overall video has gotten my full attention. I'm very proud to say that I am a proud Ahgase and know that the boys whether they promote with or without one or two members will still be able to execute a great performance for their fans.
Along with the release of the upcoming Japanese album, the six members will go on tour in Japan starting May 15th. This is their concert schedule below along with four cover images they recently released.
'THE New Era' Japan Tour 2018
May 15: Fukuoka
May 17 & 18: Osaka
May 26: Hiroshima
May 28: Nagoya
June 18, 19 & 20: Tokyo
